Tuesday Nights Together/TNT

Join us for a  fellowship dinner and program on a Tuesday night for information, entertainment or worship, depending on who provides the program. A catered dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is $9.00 for adults, $5.00 for children, and children under 5 eat free. Previous programs have included the Frozen Carnival, a harpist, Newbery award-winning author Vince Vawter, and church volunteer-led programs such as a cabaret lip-synch & comedy program.

Group Outings

Special activities planned by Adult Ministries occur throughout the year. Past planned outings have included Jackson Starlight Symphony, movie showings, and a trip to eat in a local restaurant followed by “Irish Christmas in America” at The Ned.

The Ladies Who Lunch

The Ladies Who Lunch is new for 2022. Any woman is invited to come and enjoy food and fellowship at a local Jackson restaurant. It will alternate between a weekday and Saturday schedule.

Pastor’s Bible Study

Small group Bible studies are typically led by our pastor, Dr. Barry Scott, on Tuesday mornings. Previous studies have included the book of Daniel and the book of Galatians. Check the newsletter and the website for current study offerings and times.

Friendship Group

Friendship Group is a monthly fellowship meeting on the 4th Sunday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall for adults with special needs in the Jackson community.

Summer Outdoor Worship Series

Our Summer Outdoor Worship Series happens in our outdoor worship area one Sunday evening a month, during the warm months of the year. Check our website for updated information on music and speakers.

Bible Study

Small group Bible studies are offered at designated times throughout the year and are led by different teachers. The most recent Bible study was led by Steve Shapard, discussing “Impact Women of the Bible.” Bible study schedules and discussion materials will be posted on the website and can be found in the newsletter.

Explorers Bible Study

Explorers Bible Study, for women in the Jackson and surrounding community, meets every Tuesday morning during the school year at 9:20 am.

United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men’s group meets the 2nd Monday of each month, September – May, at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall for dinner, fellowship and mission opportunities. Most months will feature a guest speaker from the community. All men of the church are welcome and encouraged to attend.

United Women in Faith

Aldersgate has a United Women in Faith circle that meets monthly to experience Jesus Christ through fellowship and missions. The Martha Circle meets the 3rd Tuesday at 7pm in members’ homes. All women are welcome to join the circle.

Sunday School Classes

The Adult Ministries Team is also responsible for the oversight of the Adult Sunday School classes. Sunday School classes meet at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Daytime Fellowship

Everyone is invited to enjoy a potluck meal and a program the third Wednesday each month at noon in the fellowship hall at Aldersgate. Birthdays are celebrated and prayer requests are also made known.
