Music Ministries
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!” Psalm 95:1
We invite you to experience the music at Aldersgate. Music is vital to the worship of our Lord, and at Aldersgate, we offer our praise and thanksgiving through various forms of music and musical interpretation. Aldersgate maintains a long tradition of musical excellence through our choir, ensembles, and handbell choir.
No matter your music background, we encourage you to participate in our musical ministry if you feel led. To learn more about the opportunities in music at Aldersgate, contact us below.
Music Opportunities at Aldersgate

Adult Choir
The Adult Choir sings each Sunday during worship. The 35-member choir is a non-audition choir that meets and rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. in the choir room or the sanctuary. Frequently to Adult Choir presents a secular program to our congregation and the community.
Handbell Choir
Our handbell choir, “Celebrate,” currently has 14 members and rehearses at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, across from the Pathfinders room. Reading music is necessary for playing in the handbell choir, and if you would like to learn to play, we’ll teach you!
Ensembles
Many choir members are involved in solo work and participate in small ensembles. These groups meet at different times during the week. We believe that small group and solo work strengthens our choir musically. Working in smaller groups also encourages camaraderie and allows members to become better acquainted personally.
