Adult Sunday School Classes
At Aldersgate, we see Sunday School as an opportunity to gather among our friends, share ideas and discuss the Bible, how it impacts our world and how we can impact the lives of others through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Ignite Class
The Ignite class is our newest Sunday School class, comprised of younger adults, 20 years and older. There are rotating teachers who teach and facilitate discussions related to a variety of topics. The class starts at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings.
Pathfinders Class
The Pathfinders Sunday School class is comprised of adults, 40 years +. They have rotating teachers and cover a variety of topics using books and class discussion.
Rainbow Class
The Rainbow class is for special needs adults. Becky Buckley and Betty Cherry rotate teaching a United Methodist lesson to the adults and are the contact people for this class.
Wisdom Seekers Class
The Wisdom Seekers Sunday School class is comprised of adults, age 50 +. They have rotating teachers and study a quarterly series called Adult Bible Studies. They have lecture and discussion.
Aldersgate adult classes also have social events and sponsor various missions for the United Methodist Church and the Jackson and world communities.
Children & Youth Sunday School

Nursery
The Nursery is staffed by a paid nursery worker and is for ages Birth – 3.
PreK- 2nd Grade Class
This Sunday School Class is taught by Teresa Scott. The children focus on Bibilical character traits and how Jesus wants us to act.
3rd – 5th Grade Class
This Sunday School Class is taught by Ms. Marianne Archer. The upper elementary children work through units focusing on discovering God’s call on individual gifts through the Bible.
Middle and High School UMYF Class
The Middle and High School Class is for youth 6th-12th Grade. This Sunday School class is soon to be up and running. We will be focusing on how God wants us to respond to modern problems and growing up in our faith. This class will be taught by Taylor Johnson.
